Well, here we go again for another season of football as we welcome Chippenham Town.
The 300 plus supporters who made the trip to Dagenham last Saturday saw a great performance by the team as they scored a very early goal to take the lead and confirmed the win with a goal well into the second half. A very promising start with a good overall performance. It made a change to see happy smiling faces on the coach going home! Fleet Supporters’ Trust membership is now due for renewal still at £12 so please come to the Trust office to renew or join if you aren’t already a member. Discounted travel is given to all Fleet Supporters’ Trust members so a substantial saving can be made on travel to away games. Please book early for away travel to avoid disappointment and to help us provide the correct capacity coach. The next away trips are to Slough on Saturday 23rd August and Hampton and Richmond on Saturday 30th August. Bookings and payment can be made at the Trust office on match days otherwise book by contacting John Burgess on 07951 610878 between 0900-2100. Please make every effort to pay at the time of booking either by card or cash. It has been agreed that the Supporters’ away weekend will be to Salisbury from Friday 6th February 2026 to Sunday 8th February 2026. The cost is £155 per person for the weekend, deposit of £50 each when booking with the balance payable by 25th November 2025. Bookings can be made at the Trust office or by contacting John Burgess. Don’t delay as rooms will go quickly. During the close season much work has been done by the regular band of volunteers which is much appreciated. There is always room for more volunteers so if you would like to join this merry band please contact me for details. They perform a very important role in the activities both on match days and at other times. The Fleet Supporters’ Trust are sponsoring the Under 12 and Under 15 teams this season so we wish them well. They are well worth a watch if you get the chance. Well, I think that’s enough from me so let’s get behind the team and roar them on to a first home win of the season to go with last Saturday’s win.
UP THE FLEET!
